New look comes as the Town closes out the Summer season

The Town of Emerald Isle, North Carolina has partnered with Flowbird Group and NC Parking Co. to make a unique statement on the Town’s smart parking kiosks. Each terminal in the Town’s Eastern and Western Ocean Regional beach parking lots were upgraded from their standard black exterior to a custom blue and green design that reflects the Town’s brand and message of beautifying the beach. The design was released and installed by the Town’s parking management company, NC Parking Co., and will be seen by the area’s 50,000 visitors per week plus it’s residents.

The Town of Emerald Isle has been a partner of Flowbird since 2021 with their initial install of the CWT parking kiosk. For the last year, the machines have helped visitors pay for parking in the busy summer seasons, while proving Town staff with detailed occupancy reports.

The new design transforms the kiosks from a parking pay station to a decorative piece fit for a top tourist destination. The custom printed wraps, designed by Flowbird and installed by NC Parking Co., display the iconic Emerald Isle logo and seamlessly blend into the coastal-town aesthetic.

“Parking management is a key component to the town’s ecosystem, and we understand that attention to detail is critical,” said Dan McNutt, CEO of UPP Global, the managing company of NC Parking Co.

“The company has strived to build a relationship in which to effectively manage Emerald Isle’s parking program in a way that not only meets our financial commitments but also providing these types of enhancements and an active collaboration with stakeholders.”

You can now see the Town’s newly branded Flowbird kiosks at the Eastern and Western Regional Beach parking lots, both managed by NC Parking Co.

“We’re extremely pleased with the appearance and ease-of-use of the kiosks, said Alesia Sanderson, Director of Parks & Recreation. “The wraps blend very nicely with the Town’s marketing efforts and provide simple directions for the user.”

Paid parking runs seven days a week from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., ranging from $2 to $4 per hour depending on the season.
