Convenience for users combined with efficiency and flexibility for operators, that is the beauty of Pay by Plate parking. Parkers just pay and go, they don’t even need a printed receipt. Proof of payment is tracked digitally, allowing easy integration with mobile payments and e-permit systems.
NO RECEIPT NEEDED
No need to display a receipt on the dashboard because all transactions are enforced wirelessly. Online or text receipts are available.
INTEGRATED ENFORCEMENT
Officers can check the status of each plate with a handheld device or License Plate Recognition system.
RIGHTS MANAGEMENT
Specific rights can be linked to a license plate number to allow for special rates, free time, and control of “meter feeding”.
THE FREEDOM OF DIGITAL PLATE MANAGEMENT
One of the true strengths of the Flowbird solution is our Parking Rights Management system. It is where we give clients the freedom to manage all of the “rights” associated with each plate number or a group of plate numbers. Immediately after a motorist inputs their plate number into a pay station or through the Flowbird app, our system checks to see what rights can be applied to that plate at that specific time of day. Examples include:
- Discounted rates for residents
- The flexibility to offer longer term parking to specific plates (e.g. weekend passes)
- Free time for a specified amount of time, once or multiple times per day
- Not allowing a user to pay in a zone after the max time has been reached
- Giving users the freedom to extend their parking time from other pay stations in the network
Parking validations is another great way to manage parking rights. A validation can be provided remotely using the plate number, directly at the pay station, or through our mobile app.
